We are not finished with masks! Despite lockdown lifting on the 19th July

Updated: Jun 23, 2022

Throughout the pandemic we have strived to make CTL dental as safe as possible for all our patients and staff. We absolutely guarantee you that we will continue to do so going forward.

On the 19th July, there will not be a significant change at the practice- patients will need to wear a face covering still and socially distance and staff will continue to wear their enhanced PPE. The number of patients allowed into the waiting area will also continue to be restricted. We do understand that this can be frustrating but we have many vulnerable patients and we feel it would be wrong to not take these small precautions to protect us all.

Covid has not gone away and access to dentistry is at an all time low. We cleared our backlog of patients from the first lockdown by September of last year and have continued to work at increased levels ever since. NHS services are still operating at a vastly reduced capacity however and there are suggestions in the profession that it may never reach it's previous capacity. 3 year and longer waiting lists are the situation many are finding themselves in for dental care. So we are inundated with requests to see people who can not be seen via the NHS and we are trying to help as many patients as we can at this difficult time whilst keeping the excellent service for which we are known to our loyal patient base.

We have come so far in trying to minimise the impact of Covid and we are sure you understand the need to keep the practice as safe as possible for ALL patients and staff. One positive case of covid within the practice could stop our entire workforce for 10 days, and I'm sure you will agree, maintaining restrictions is a small price to pay so that we may continue with a full range of services, and keep our doors open for you.

Many Thanks for your continued support. I know we have all had enough of this awful disease- but we so want you all to stay safe!
